About Kristina

I have been in the health and fitness industry..well..since I was born actually. My dad has been a professional coach all his life, so that basically got passed down to me. I officially started coaching right after college in 2009 at Texas State University Track & Field program. Later I worked as the head strength & conditioning coach at Power Alley Sports, a multi-sport complex. I trained junior baseball and softball teams, individuals clients, soccer, volleyball, track athletes and ran all age and level fitness bootcamps. From the nutrition side, I worked at Snap Kitchen along side our Registered Dietician. Currently I work at a corporate fitness facility as a lifestyle coordinator where I do everything from training small groups, individuals, to nutrition advice and general life well-being consulting.

Training Philosophy

Fitness is my ultimate passion, and I love sharing it with those around me. I’m a certified personal trainer through the American Counsel of Exercise, and hold a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. My background in personal training coupled with social work, has enabled me to approach training from a uniquely empathetic perspective. Through the use of self-motivating techniques, experience, knowledge, and a lot of fun (I promise!), I work to instill in every client a sense of self-efficacy, empowerment, and body confidence. I’m on a mission to prove that exercise doesn’t have to be a grueling chore, but can actually be quite enjoyable and stimulating. As my mood stabilizer, daily mini-vacation, and body/mind enhancer, exercise has brought a lot of joy to my life, and I want to do all I can to bring that joy into yours!

Favorite Client Success Story

I know you’re not supposed to have “favorite” clients. But alas, I do! My client came to me overweight, in pain (rare autoimmune disease), motorcycle accident survivor with various movement deficiencies, and overall this was his last resort. Seven months today, he has lost a litter over 40 lbs (we’re still working together), 13% body fat, and inches dropped all over. More importantly, he is able to run, move in all 3 dimensions, jump, lift, skip and play soccer with his little kid. I have been beyond blessed to have this hard-working, persistent and incredibly high-spirited man allow me to guide him though his journey to better health! I am a very proud coach!

Typical Training Session

Expect to have fun and work hard every time you come to workout! I keep my clients always guessing and constantly moving. Good nutrition is exponentially increase your progress towards better healthy, performance or body composition goals. Ask me about nutritional plans, general guidance and support! I train clients at the location of their choosing. A good workout can be done in your own home, in a park or anywhere you are. Let’s get started!
